In this text, we see a simple way to describe things that happened in the past. We use specific words to show a completed action.
The Secret: Most of these words end in -ed. This tells us the game is over.
- play → played
- score → scored
- stop → stopped
Wait! Some are different: Some words change completely. We call these 'special' words:
- win → won
How to use this for A2: When you talk about your day or a sport, add -ed to the action word to move it to yesterday.
Example: "I played football" or "The team won."
