Police found books and a flag from a dangerous group called the Islamic State in the killers' homes. The killers used knives and heavy objects to kill the couple. The bodies were in a river. Crocodiles ate some of the bodies, so doctors used DNA to find who they were.

The court also said the three people stole things and broke property. The judge gave them sentences for these crimes too.
