🔍 The 'Action-Past' Pattern

Look at these words from the text:

  • entered
  • called
  • took
  • lost

What is happening here? These are things that already happened. To talk about the past in English, we usually just add -ed to the end of the word.

The Simple Rule: Now → Past Work → Worked Look → Looked Enter → Entered

⚠️ The 'Rule Breakers' Some words are lazy and don't follow the -ed rule. You just have to memorize them:

  • Take → Took (Not Taked)
  • Lose → Lost (Not Losed)

Quick Summary for A2: If you want to tell a story about yesterday or last month, check if the word needs an -ed or if it is a Rule Breaker → like took or lost.
