In this text, the word 'got' (the past of 'get') isn't about buying things. It means receiving or winning a person for a team.

📏 Describing People Simply

Look at how the text describes Lewis:

"Lewis is very tall and blocks shots well."

The Pattern: [Person]is[Adjective]and[Action][How they do it]

Example:

  • The coach is strong and speaks loudly.
  • The player is fast and runs well.

📍 Places vs. People

Notice the difference between who wants and who is wanted:

  1. The Place: Nebraska wants...
  2. The Person: ...a player named Arthur Jones.

In English, we often say the University wants the player, even though it is actually the Coach who does the wanting.
