Israel and Lebanon Border Agreement

Introduction

The United States helped Israel and Lebanon make a plan. This plan helps Israeli soldiers leave Lebanon.

Main Body

The plan says Israeli soldiers must leave in small steps. But Israel says the Lebanese army must take control first. Also, the group Hezbollah must stop using weapons. Hezbollah does not like this and says the plan is bad.

Some groups are worried about the law. They say the plan stops people from getting help from international courts. They also say people should go home to their houses now.

Fighting still happens. Israel attacks Hezbollah buildings. Lebanon says Israel is breaking the plan. Many people died and over one million people left their homes.

Conclusion

The peace is very weak. The two sides still fight and disagree about the law.

🧩 The 'Action-Object' Connection

In this text, we see a pattern: Someone \rightarrow Does something \rightarrow To something/someone.

Look at these examples:

  • Israel \rightarrow attacks \rightarrow buildings.
  • Soldiers \rightarrow leave \rightarrow Lebanon.
  • People \rightarrow left \rightarrow homes.

Why this helps you reach A2: Beginners often forget the 'object' (the thing receiving the action). To speak better English, always ask: Who is doing it? and What is being affected?

Vocabulary focus from the text:

  • Plan (a list of steps)
  • Control (having the power)
  • Weak (not strong)

Quick Tip: When you see "must," it means it is a rule. Example: Soldiers must leave.
