🕒 The Time Jump

In this text, we see a shift from what happened to what will happen. This is the most important jump for an A2 student.

1. The Past (Finished) We use these words for things that are over:

  • Had (Have → Had)
  • Fought (Fight → Fought)
  • Won (Win → Won)
  • Joined (Join → Joined)

2. The Future (Coming Soon) To talk about the next few months, look at this pattern:

  • Will + Action
  • Example: "Joshua Pacio will fight"

Quick Word Swap

  • June = Was (Past)
  • July/August = Will be (Future)

Pro Tip: To move from A1 to A2, stop saying "I go" for everything. Use "I went" for yesterday and "I will go" for tomorrow. → Simple as that!
