Gold and Silver Prices Change

Introduction

Prices for gold and silver went down early this year. Now, the prices are starting to go up again.

Main Body

In the first six months, gold and silver lost a lot of money. The US dollar became strong. The US bank, the Federal Reserve, wanted to raise interest rates. This made gold prices fall from $5,600 to $4,007.

Silver and platinum also fell. China bought fewer metals because they made more electric cars. This changed how they used these metals.

Now, things are different. A new report shows that fewer people have jobs in the US. Because of this, the bank might not raise interest rates in September. Gold prices went up to $4,100. Also, the US and Iran are trying to be friendly again.

Conclusion

Prices went up for one week. But they will only keep going up if the US bank changes its plan.

The Upward Climb

  • Go up → Higher price
  • Raise → To make something higher
  • Went up → Increased

💡 Quick Tip: Past vs. Now

Look at how the story switches time:

  • Past: "Prices went down" (It already happened).
