🚨 Action Words (Past vs. Now)

In this story, we see a big difference between things that happened and things that are happening. To reach A2, you need to spot these shifts.

The "Done" List (Past) These words tell us the action is finished:

  • Burned → It burned a lot of forest.
  • Left → 150 people left their homes.
  • Caught → The police caught one man.

The "Right Now" List (Present) These words tell us the situation is still true:

  • Is → The weather is very hot.
  • Are → Nine people are hurt.
  • Has → Spain also has a fire.

🌍 Who is doing what?

Look at how we name groups of people. Notice the pattern: [The Group] + [Action]

  • The government \rightarrow sent workers.
  • The leader \rightarrow asked for help.
  • The army \rightarrow is helping.
  • The police \rightarrow caught people.
