🌪️ Talking about the Past

In this story, we see a pattern: Action → Result.

When we talk about things that already happened, we often change the action word (verb) to end in -ed.

Look at these changes:

  • Visit → Visited
  • Stop → Stopped
  • Block → Blocked

Special Words (The 'Rule-Breakers'): Some words don't follow the -ed rule. You just have to memorize them:

  • Hit (stays the same)
  • Die → Died (regular)
  • Is/Are → Was/Were

How to use this for A2: If you want to tell a story about your weekend, use the -ed ending for most actions.

Example: "I visited my friend and we played football."

Quick Vocabulary Glue:

  • Broken (Something is in pieces) → Fixing (Making it work again)
  • Emergency (A dangerous situation that needs help fast)
