Vocabulary Learning
🕒 The "Past" Pattern
To reach A2, you need to describe things that already happened. Look at how the story changes words to show the past:
- Start → started
- Walk → walked
- Talk → talked
- Report → reported
The Rule: Just add -ed to the end of the action word.
⚠️ The "Special" Past Words
Some words are rebels. They don't use -ed. You must memorize these:
- Come → came
- Break → broke
- Say → said
Example from text: "One million people came to the event." (Not comed!)
💡 Quick Tip: "There was" vs "There were"
Use There was for one thing: → There was a big parade.
Use There were for many things: → There were many shows.
