🛑 The "No" Pattern
In the story, Jason Robertson says no to a big offer. In English, we use specific words to show someone does not want something.
The Basic Negative:
- He did not want... → (He said no)
- He said no. → (He refused)
Easy A2 Switch: Instead of just saying "no," you can use did not + action to describe the past:
Did not want → He didn't like the offer.
Did not join → He stayed with his team.
Quick Tip: When you see "did not," the action word (want, join, play) stays in its simplest form. Do not add "-ed" at the end!
