💡 The 'Quantity' Trick
When you want to say how much or how many of something exists, you can use these simple words from the text:
- Many Use for things you can count (people, buildings, hospitals).
- A lot of Use for a big amount of anything (help, money).
- Too many Use when there is more than you want or need (dead bodies).
- Not enough Use when you need more (places, food, time).
Quick Examples:
- Many houses broke.
- Not enough places.
- A lot of help.
Pro Tip: If you are not sure, "a lot of" is the safest choice for A2 students because it works for almost everything!
