🚨 Action Words (Past Tense)

In this story, everything already happened. To tell a story about the past, we often add -ed to the end of the word.

  • Close \rightarrow Closed (The road closed)
  • Happen \rightarrow Happened (It happened yesterday)

But watch out! Some words are 'rebels' and change completely. They don't use -ed:

  • Go \rightarrow Went (The motorcycle went fast)
  • Leave \rightarrow Left (The driver left the scene)

📍 Place Words

When we talk about where things are, we use small words called prepositions. Look at how the text uses them:

  1. In + City/Country \rightarrow In Oklahoma, In Canada, In Asheville
  2. On + Road/Street \rightarrow On State Route 4, On a highway
