Introduction

Many prisoners fought at Negombo prison. Some people died and many were hurt.

Main Body

The fighting started on Sunday. Two groups of prisoners fought. Two people died and 38 people were hurt.

衝突始於週日。兩組囚犯發生打鬥，導致兩人死亡，38 人受傷。

On Monday, prisoners fought the guards. The police used guns to stop the fight. The army also came to help the police.

週一，囚犯與獄警發生衝突。警方使用槍械才停止打鬥。軍方也前來協助警方。

Many people are hurt. One report says 25 people died. Another report says 19 people died. More than 100 people are in the hospital.

許多人受傷。一份報告指出有 25 人死亡，另一份報告則稱有 19 人死亡。目前有超過 100 人在醫院就醫。

There are 2,417 prisoners in the prison. Now, the prison has more security. The leaders want to know why the fight started.
