Main Body

The SAVE America Act is a new plan. It says people must show a photo ID to vote. It also says people must prove they are US citizens. Donald Trump and Elon Musk like this plan. They want to stop cheating in elections. But other people say this plan stops good people from voting.

Some leaders also want to change birthright citizenship. Now, babies born in the US are US citizens. Some leaders want to stop this for children of non-citizen parents. They say this is a problem for national security.

These plans are not laws yet. The Senate is fighting about the voting law. The courts say the citizenship rule is part of the Constitution. This makes it hard to change.

Conclusion

The voting law is stuck in the Senate. The citizenship changes are also very difficult to make.
