✈️ The 'Past' Story

To tell a story about something that already happened, we often add -ed to the action word.

Look at these examples from the text:

  • land \rightarrow landed
  • hurt \rightarrow hurt (special case: it stays the same!)
  • look \rightarrow looked

Watch out for the 'Changing' words: Some words change completely instead of adding -ed. These are very common in A2 English:

  • come \rightarrow came
  • hear \rightarrow heard
  • say \rightarrow said

Quick Rule: Use these forms when you see dates (like July 4) or words like "now studying" (which means the event is already finished).
