🗝️ THE "SIMPLE PAST" SECRET

To tell a story or report news, we change the action word (verb) to show it already happened.

Look at these changes from the text:

  • Die \rightarrow Died
  • Kill \rightarrow Killed
  • Arrest \rightarrow Arrested
  • Fall \rightarrow Fell (Special change!)
  • Steal \rightarrow Stole (Special change!)
  • Find \rightarrow Found (Special change!)

💡 The Golden Rule for A2: Most words just need -ed at the end. But some "rebel" words change completely.

Example Sentence: "The police found the baby." (We don't say "finded" because "find" is a rebel word!)
