Introduction
NCERT made a new Social Science book for Class 8 students. The Supreme Court of India told them to change the old book.

The old book had a part about bad things in the courts. The Supreme Court did not like this. They told NCERT to stop using the old book. NCERT said sorry and wrote the chapter again.

Now, the book does not talk about bad things in the courts. It does not talk about slow work or old buildings. Instead, it explains how the Supreme Court works and how people can get help from the law.

A group of experts checked the new book. Three people left the team because they wrote the bad parts. The book also has a new cover. Now, it only shows the Supreme Court building.

Conclusion
Students can use the new book now. The court will look at the matter again on July 14.
