Introduction

Two groups of prisoners fought at Negombo Prison. 26 people died and more than 100 people are hurt.

尼甘波監獄內有兩組囚犯發生鬥毆，導致 26 人死亡，超過 100 人受傷。

Main Body

The fight started on Sunday. One group sells drugs. The other group does not like drugs. They fought and seven prison guards died on Monday. Some prisoners used guns.

這場鬥毆始於週日。其中一組從事販毒，另一組則反對毒品。他們發生衝突，導致週一有七名監獄看守死亡。部分囚犯使用了槍支。

Women prisoners climbed onto a roof. The roof broke and the women fell. Many hurt people went to the hospital. The police used drones and helicopters to watch the prison.

There are too many people in the prisons. There are 41,250 prisoners. This is four times more than the prisons can hold. This is a big problem in the country.
