Vocabulary Learning
⚡ The 'Past Simple' Tool
When we tell a story about things that already happened, we change the action word. Look at these examples from the text:
- Happen → Happened
- Crash → Crashed
- Want → Wanted
The Golden Rule: Just add -ed to the end of the word to move it from 'Now' to 'Before'.
🛑 The Special Ones (Irregular)
Some words are rebels. They do not follow the -ed rule. You must memorize these:
- Drive (Now) → Drove (Past)
- Lose (Now) → Lost (Past)
- Go (Now) → Went (Past)
🗺️ Connecting Places
Notice how we use 'in' for countries:
- In Syria
- In Uganda
And we use 'to' for movement/direction:
- To Saudi Arabia
