Vocabulary Learning
🕒 Now vs. Later
In this story, we see two ways to talk about time. One is for things that already happened and one is for things that will happen.
1. The Past (Done) Look at these words: gave, lost, worked, came, helped. → They tell us the action is finished. → Example: Turkey gave 1,000 kits.
2. The Future (Not yet) Look for the word will: → More help is coming soon. → It will take many months. → They will send more help.
Quick Rule: If you see will, the action is a promise or a plan for the future. If the verb ends in -ed (like worked), it is usually a memory of the past.
