Introduction
This report looks at people who died in Iran on January 8 and 9. It compares the government's story with the stories from families.

Many people fought the government because of money problems. The government says 3,000 people died. Other groups say 35,000 to 40,000 people died. The government also stopped the internet.

The government tried to hide the truth. They changed medical papers for Taha. They told families to have small funerals. They did not let people cry in public. Rasoul's family said the government took organs from his body.
