🏀 Moving People: 'To' and 'From'

In this text, we see how players move between cities. To talk about direction in English, we use two simple words:

1. TO (The destination / Where they are going)

  • Sent Mitchell Robinson \rightarrow to Boston.
  • Traded Jaylen Brown \rightarrow to Philadelphia.
  • Go \rightarrow to Cleveland.

2. FROM (The starting point / Where they left)

  • Got Giannis \rightarrow from Milwaukee.

💡 The 'Want' Pattern

When a team desires something, we use: Want + [Person/Thing]

  • The Lakers \rightarrow want to build a team.
  • The Warriors \rightarrow want LeBron James.
  • Miami \rightarrow wants LeBron James.

Note: Use 'wants' (with an -s) when talking about one single team.
