💡 The 'Past Action' Pattern

Look at these words from the story:

  • went
  • had
  • wanted
  • said
  • sued

What is happening here? These words tell us about things that already finished. In English, we change the verb to show the time is in the past.

How it works:

  1. Regular change (Just add -ed) → want becomes wanted.
  2. Special change (The word changes completely) → go becomes went.

Quick Guide for A2:

  • Now: I go to the UK. \rightarrow Past: I went to the UK.
