💡 The 'People' Pattern

In this story, we see a clear way to talk about who is doing something. Look at these three groups:

  • The Court \rightarrow says (The boss of the law)
  • The President \rightarrow wants (The leader)
  • Experts \rightarrow say (The smart people)

🛠️ Simple Rule: Adding 's'

When we talk about one person or one group, we add an -s to the action word. This is a key step for A2 English!

  • He likes \checkmark
  • She believes \checkmark
  • The Court says \checkmark

Compare:

  • One judge \rightarrow talks
  • Many experts \rightarrow talk (No 's' here!)

🚩 Word Alert: 'Even if'

This is a great phrase to use when something is surprising.

"This is true even if their parents are not citizens."

It means: It doesn't matter if the parents are citizens or not; the child is still a citizen.
