🛑 The 'Action' Words (Past Tense)

To reach A2, you must talk about things that already happened. In this story, we see words that change to show the past.

The Pattern: Most words just add -ed at the end.

  • Stop \rightarrow Stopped*
  • Break \rightarrow Broke (Special word!)
  • Hide \rightarrow Hid (Special word!)

Look at these examples from the text:

  • "He tried to hide a phone." (Try \rightarrow Tried)
  • "The government took houses." (Take \rightarrow Took)

🌍 Where is the money?

Notice how the text describes locations. At A2, you need to use "in" and "from" correctly:

  1. FROM = The starting point.

    • Example: "...bring money back from other countries."
  2. IN = Inside a place.

    • Example: "...secret bank accounts in the USA."
