📅 Talking About Time & Dates

In this story, we see how to say when things happen. For a beginner, these three patterns are the most useful:

1. The 'From... To...' Pattern Use this for a start date and an end date.

  • Example: "The games are from July 16 to 19."
  • Rule: From [Start] \rightarrow To [End]

2. Using 'On' for Days Always use on before a day of the week.

  • Example: "On Monday," "On Tuesday."
  • Tip: Never say "In Monday."

3. The Word 'Now' Put now at the end of a sentence to talk about the present moment.

  • Example: "He plays well now."

Quick Word List:

  • Tournament \rightarrow A big competition
