⚡ The 'Past' Story Rule

Most of this story uses Past Tense to tell us what happened. Look at these changes:

  • Find → Found
  • Touch → Touched
  • Explode → Exploded
  • Walk → Walked

Why this matters for A2: When you tell a story about yesterday or last year, you usually add -ed to the action. Some words are 'rebels' and change completely (like find becoming found).

🔍 Spotting 'Negative' Actions

To say something did NOT happen in the past, we use: did not + action.

  • They did not find...
  • (They didn't find the pieces).

Simple Tip: Once you use "did not," the action word goes back to its normal, present shape. You don't say "did not found" \rightarrow you say did not find.
