💡 Focus: Who is doing what? (Past Tense)
In this text, we see how to describe things that happened a long time ago. Look at these simple changes:
- Take Took (Soldiers took the city)
- Kill Killed (They killed...)
- Hide Hid (They hid the bodies)
- Say Said (A court said...)
The Pattern: When we talk about 1995, we don't use the word "now." We change the action word to a "past form."
Quick Tip for A2: Some words just add -ed (like killed), but some words change completely (like take becoming took).
