Introduction

The US government wants to build permanent fences around the White House and Lafayette Square.

Main Body

The government wants tall fences. These fences will be eight or nine feet high. They will replace the old, temporary walls. They also want to change the ground in the square. They will use new materials so people cannot throw stones.
