⚡ The 'Some' Pattern

In this story, we see a great way to describe groups of people without being too specific. This is perfect for A2 speakers.

The Rule: Use Some + [Group] + [Action].

  • Some people do not trust...
  • Some workers do not have...

Why use this? It tells the listener that part of the group does something, but not everyone. It is softer and more accurate than saying "People do not trust."

🛠️ Word Shifts

Look at how the text moves from GeneralSpecific:

  1. Medicine (General thing) $
  2. Two new medicines (Specific count) $
  3. The best medicine (Specific quality)

Quick Tip: When you move from talking about a thing in general to a specific one you already mentioned, add 'the'.

  • I need medicine. \rightarrow Give me the medicine.
