Introduction

The Syrian People's Assembly met in Damascus on Sunday. This is the first meeting after Bashar al-Assad left power in December 2024.

Main Body

The group has 210 members. Some people voted for them. President Ahmad al-Sharaa chose other members. This happened because the old records were destroyed in the war.
