🚩 The Power of "TOO"

In the story, we see: "The water was too deep."

When we use too, it means "more than we want" or "more than is safe." It is a warning word.

How to use it: TOO + DESCRIBING WORD

  • Too deep → Dangerous to swim.
  • Too hot → Cannot drink the coffee.
  • Too fast → The car is dangerous.

🕒 Talking about the Past (The -ED Rule)

Notice how the story tells us what happened yesterday. Most action words just need -ed at the end to move from now to then:

  • Listen → Listened
  • Save → Saved

The Pattern: PersonAction+ED

Example: The police telled (Wait! Police told — some words are rebels and change completely!)

Common rebels in this text: Go → Went Do → Did
