🕒 Past vs. Present
Look at how the story moves between Now and Before. This is the key to A2 speaking.
The 'Before' (Past) When we talk about things that are finished, we add -ed to the action:
- Want Wanted
- Play Played
- Score Scored
Example: "She played very well." (The game is over).
The 'Now' (Present) When things are happening or true right now, the word stays simple:
- Want Want
- Think Think
Example: "People think the Fever made a mistake." (They are thinking it right now).
💡 Quick Tip: The 'Did Not' Trick When we say someone did not do something in the past, the action word goes back to its simple form. We don't use -ed here because 'did' already tells us it is the past.
