🕰️ Talking about the Past

When we talk about things that are finished, we often add -ed to the action word. Look at how the story changes these words:

  • Change \rightarrow Changed
  • Start \rightarrow Started
  • Help \rightarrow Helped

Wait! Some words are rebels. They change completely. You must memorize these:

  • Become \rightarrow Became
  • Buy \rightarrow Bought
  • Give \rightarrow Gave

Quick Tip for A2: If you see a date (like 1995 or 2013), you almost always need these "past" words to tell the story correctly.
