🕒 The 'Past' Pattern
Look at how we talk about things that already happened. We often just add -ed to the end of the action word.
- Start → Started*
- Burn → Burned*
- Stop → Stopped*
- Close → Closed*
Wait! Some words are 'rebels' and change completely:
- Go Went*
- Is Was*
🏠 Grouping Things
In English, we use 'a' for one thing and no 'a' for many things (plural).
| One (Singular) | Many (Plural) |
|---|---|
| A house | Houses |
| A railway | Railways |
| A center | Centers |
Quick Tip: To make a word 'many', we usually just add -s at the end.
