🕒 The 'Yesterday' Rule
Look at these words from the story:
- flew
- spent
- fixed
These are Past Action words. We use them for things that are finished.
How to change them: Most words just need an -ed at the end: Fix Fixed
But some are 'rebel' words and change completely: Fly Flew Spend Spent
Quick Example: Today: I fly a plane. Saturday: I flew a plane.
🚫 Saying 'No' in the Past
When we want to say something did NOT happen, we use this magic formula: Did not + Basic Word
Wrong: He did not flew. Right: He did not fly.
Notice how the word 'flew' goes back to its normal form 'fly' when we use did not.
