⚡ The 'Past vs. Future' Switch
Look at how the story changes time. This is the key to A2 English: knowing if something happened or will happen.
1. Things that finished (Past) We use a simple change to the verb to show the game is over:
- Beat → England beat Norway.
- Have → The game had problems.
- Is/Are → The Swiss players were unhappy.
2. Things coming soon (Future) When we talk about the next match, we add one magic word: will.
- Play → France and Spain will play next.
- Play → England will play Argentina.
Quick Pattern: Finished Action (Past Verb) Future Action will + (Normal Verb)
💡 Vocabulary Spot:
- Badly Not in a good way.
