⏳ The 'Past' Pattern

When we tell a story about someone who is not here, we change the action words. Look at how the words change from now to then:

  • Want \rightarrow Wanted
  • Join \rightarrow Joined
  • Love \rightarrow Loved

The Secret Rule: Just add -ed to the end of the word to move it to the past.

🛑 The 'No' Pattern

To say someone did not do something in the past, we use did not + the normal word. We don't use -ed here!

  • Wrong: She did not talked.
  • Right: She did not talk.

📋 Quick Word List

  • Disappeared: Went away and no one knows where they are.
  • Clues: Small pieces of information that help solve a mystery.
