Vocabulary Learning
⚡️ THE 'PAST' TRIGGER
Look at how we talk about things that are already finished. We use -ed to change the action word.
- happen happened*
- start started*
- move moved*
Wait! Some words are 'rebels' and don't follow the -ed rule. They change completely:
- feel felt
- make made*
🗺️ LOCATING THINGS
To say where something is, we use these simple bridges:
Near Close to (Near Summerlin)
In Inside a place (In the ocean)
Of Belonging to (West of the United States)
⚖️ THE 'NOT' RULE
To say something is not true in the past, we use did not + the normal word.
❌ Did not happened (Wrong) ✅ Did not happen (Right)
Example from text: "These earthquakes did not cause big waves."
