⚡ THE 'GET' POWER-UP

In English, we use 'get' to show something new is arriving. It is a shortcut word.

Look at the text:

  • "The Patriots got A.J. Brown"
  • "The Rams got Myles Garrett"

What does it mean here? Got → Received / Added to the team.

🛠️ BUILDING THE SENTENCE

To reach A2, stop using only 'have'. Use this pattern for changes:

[Person/Group] + got + [New Thing/Person]

  • Example: I got a new phone. \rightarrow (I have a new phone now).
  • Example: The team got a new player. \rightarrow (The player is now on the team).

⚠️ WATCH OUT: 'GET' vs 'GIVE'

Direction matters!

  1. Get \rightarrow Inward\text{Inward} (The Patriots got a player).
  2. Give \rightarrow Outward\text{Outward} (The Packers gave a contract).

Simple tip: If you have it now, you got it!
