Wind from the Big Black Hole

來自大黑洞的風

Introduction

Scientists found wind coming from the big black hole in the center of our galaxy.

科學家發現我們銀河系中心的大黑洞有風吹出嚟。

Main Body

Scientists used two big telescopes for five years. They saw a hole made of hot gas. The black hole pushed this gas away.

科學家使用了兩座大型望遠鏡觀察了五年。他們看到一個由高溫氣體組成的洞。黑洞將這些氣體推開了。

Black holes usually push some gas out. Other galaxies have strong winds. But our black hole is very quiet now. Its wind is weak.

黑洞通常會將部分氣體推出去。其他星系有強風。但我們的黑洞現在非常安靜,其風力很弱。

The hole of gas is very long. The black hole pushed this gas out 20,000 years ago.

這個氣體洞非常長。黑洞在兩萬年前將這些氣體推了出去。

Conclusion

Now we know our black hole works like other black holes, but it is less active.

現在我們知道我們的黑洞運作方式與其他黑洞相似,但它不那麼活躍。

Vocabulary Learning

🌌 How to describe things (Adjectives)

In this story, we see words that describe the 'size' or 'feeling' of things. These words always come before the noun.

Look at these patterns:

  • Big \rightarrow black hole
  • Hot \rightarrow gas
  • Strong \rightarrow winds
  • Weak \rightarrow wind

🕰️ Talking about the Past

To talk about things that happened before today, we often add -ed to the action word.

  • Use \rightarrow Used (Scientists used telescopes)
  • Push \rightarrow Pushed (The hole pushed gas)

Wait! Some words are special and change completely:

  • See \rightarrow Saw (They saw a hole)

⚖️ Comparing Two Things

When we want to say something is 'not as much' as another, we use less.

  • Active \rightarrow Less active (Our black hole is less active than others).
