🕒 The "Past Action" Pattern

In this story, we see how to talk about things that already happened. To reach A2, you need to recognize these simple changes:

1. Action Words (Verbs)

  • SearchSearched (Police searched for her)
  • ArrestArrested (They arrested a man)
  • StopStopped (Reports stop/stopped)

The Trick: Just add -ed to the end of the word to move it from 'now' to 'before'.

🔍 Spotting the 'Negative' Past

When we want to say someone did not do something in the past, we use a special helper word:

Did not + [Basic Word]

  • The police did not talk to the man. (Correct ✅)
  • The police did not talked (Wrong ❌)

Remember: Once you use "did not," the main action word stays in its simplest form. It doesn't need the -ed anymore.
