⚖️ The 'More' and 'Less' Scale

To describe changes in the world, we use these two words to show if something is increasing or decreasing.

1. Upwards (More)

  • Higher prices \rightarrow Costs go up.
  • More people \rightarrow The number of people grows.
  • More problems \rightarrow Things get worse.

2. Downwards (Fewer/Lower)

  • Fewer seats \rightarrow There are not many seats.
  • Fewer people \rightarrow The number of people drops.
  • Went down \rightarrow The price or value decreased.

💡 Quick Tip: Use 'More' for things you can count (people) and things you can't count (money/fuel). Use 'Fewer' for things you can count (seats/people).
