🛑 Who did what? (Action Words)

In this story, we see a pattern: Person/Thing \rightarrow Action \rightarrow Who/What.

  • Car \rightarrow hit \rightarrow man
  • Police \rightarrow closed \rightarrow road
  • Doctors \rightarrow took \rightarrow him

Simple Rule for A2: To tell a story, put the "doer" first, then the "action," then the "receiver."

Word Swap (Different Tenses): Most words here end in -ed because they happened in the past:

  • Closed (Past) \rightarrow Close (Now)
  • Stayed (Past) \rightarrow Stay (Now)
  • Talked (Past) \rightarrow Talk (Now)

Special Word: Hit is a "magic" word. It looks the same in the past and now!

  • Yesterday: The car hit the bike.
  • Every day: The car hit the bike (rare, but the word doesn't change).
