🛠️ The 'Action' Pattern

In this story, we see how to describe things that happened in the past. We use simple words to tell a story.

Past Words from the text:

  • had \rightarrow (now: have)
  • called \rightarrow (now: call)
  • started \rightarrow (now: start)
  • brought \rightarrow (now: bring)
  • ended \rightarrow (now: end)

Why this helps you reach A2: To move from A1 to A2, you must stop talking only about "now." You need to describe yesterday.

Quick Rule: Most of the time, just add -ed to the end of the action word.

  • Wait \rightarrow Waited
  • Watch \rightarrow Watched

Watch out! Some words are "rebels" and change completely, like bring becoming brought.
