⚡ The "Past Action" Pattern

Look at these words from the text: caught, arrested, found, died, hit, attacked.

These are all Past Tense verbs. They tell us that the action is finished.

How to change them back to today (Present):

  • Caught \rightarrow Catch
  • Arrested \rightarrow Arrest
  • Found \rightarrow Find
  • Died \rightarrow Die
  • Hit \rightarrow Hit (Stay the same!)
  • Attacked \rightarrow Attack

A2 Rule: The "-ed" shortcut Most words just need -ed at the end to move to the past.

  • Example: Stop \rightarrow Stopped.

Watch out! Some words are "rebels" (Irregular). They change completely, like find becoming found. You must memorize these rebels to speak clearly.
