In this story, everything happened in the past. To talk about things that are finished, we usually add -ed to the word.
Look at these changes:
- Lie → Lied
- Force → Forced
- Trick → Tricked

- Steal becomes → Stole
- Take becomes → Took
- Find becomes → Found
- Kill becomes → Killed (This one follows the rule!)
