🕒 Talking about the Past
To reach A2, you must move from the present to the past. Look at how this story changes words to show things already happened:
- Stop Stopped
- Start Started
- Use Used
The Magic Rule: For most simple actions, just add -ed to the end. This tells the listener the event is over.
🛑 The "Not" Rule
When we want to say something did not happen in the past, we use did not + the original word.
"The police did not see any fire."
Notice we don't say did not saw. Once you use did, the main action goes back to its normal, present form.
