🕒 The 'Past' Pattern

To reach A2, you must show what happened yesterday or last month. This story uses Past Action words.

How to change a word to the past: Most words just need an -ed at the end.

  • Walk \rightarrow Walked
  • Start \rightarrow Started

The 'Rule Breakers' (Irregular): Some words change completely. You must memorize these:

  • Go \rightarrow Went
  • Feel \rightarrow Felt
  • Eat \rightarrow Ate (The text uses did not eat)
  • Drink \rightarrow Drank

The 'Negative' Trick: When we say something didn't happen, we use did not + the normal word. We do NOT add -ed here.

Wrong: did not walked×\text{Wrong: } \text{did not walked} \times Right: did not walk\text{Right: } \text{did not walk} \checkmark
